The community is located within the Hanover School Division and has 2 schools, Niverville Elementary - Kindergarten to grade four and Niverville Collegiate - grade five to twelve. In fall of 2019, Niverville High School is scheduled to open its doors for grade nine to twelve students and the former Niverville Collegiate will become Niverville Middle School for grades five to eight. The Niverville Co-operative Preschool group offers transition preschool for ages 3-5.
If a French program is desired, access is available to both the immersion programs in Ile des Chenes or St. Adolphe and bussing is available to Ecole Heritage Immersion in St. Pierre-Jolys. As well as the DSFM program has regular bus runs throughout the town to a variety of schools. Following High School, extension courses are offered via the Eastman Campus in Steinbach, for both university and college courses. Providence University College and Theological Seminary is located 8 miles south in Otterburne offers a combination of college accredited courses and seminary classes.
Niverville Helping Hands is a non-profit organization who provides food assistance to those in-need in Niverville and the surrounding area. We serve Niverville, New Bothwell, Otterburne, and Ste. Agathe.
Are you in need of food assistance?
Our food bank is open every-other Thursday between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. for regular food hampers. To receive a food hamper, please visit Helping Hands website at www.nivervillehelpinghands.org to make a request. All requests must be received by 8 p.m. the day before hamper day. Current information can be found on their website as well as their Facebook page.
Non-perishable items can be dropped off in our drop-off box at Niverville Bigway. Look for our bright pink tags in front of items we are most in need of at Niverville Bigway. We also announce items in need on our Facebook page. FOOD DRIVES are held in the Fall and Spring of each year, when necessary. Participating is easy. Niverville Youth Groups will arrive at every door in Niverville to collect non-perishables. Just watch for our door hangers on your front door every season. MONETARY DONATIONS are always appreciated. Donated funds are used to re-stock our food bank shelves. We also use funds to create programs with hopes of helping those who use our services to a better life. The community has a large faith base with a variety of services found throughout the 8 churches within the town. Additionally, there is a community prayer room located on Main Street with support services to those who are interested.
