Pet Licenses

December 7, 2016

Reminder that all dogs and cats over the age of six months require an annual license.   Effective November 15, 2016, if pet license renewal is done on or before the due date, the fee will be reduced to $15.00.

Proof of rabies and distemper vaccinations must be presented at the time of application or renewal. Licenses can be obtained from the Town Office (86 Main Street) during regular office hours.

A grace period is being offered to all owners who currently have a past due license.  Until January 31, 2017, you will be offered the $15.00 license renewal fee.  Please note that the fee for a new pet license will remain at $20 per pet and past due license renewal fee will remain at $20.

All replacement tags, either lost or destroyed will be $10 plus GST.

In the event that your animal is picked up by Animal Control, you will be charged a fee of $200 for first time impoundment.  Should your pet be unlicensed or has a past due license at the time of impoundment, the license will be $100.
