Outdoor Recreation Activities

December 21, 2017

As we move into the winter holidays two (2) outdoor rinks are waiting for your participation:

Hespeler Park - A large, lit skating area has been constructed on the north side of Park Drive
Forth Avenue Bible Church - a "wind-proof", sheltered, lit area can be found with ample parking

In addition, the following venues will be brought on line:

Cross country ski trails - dependent on receiving more snow, looped trails will be constructed in Hespeler Park and the undeveloped portion of Old Drover's Run golf course. Pedestrians, dogs and snowshoers are asked to stay off the groomed trails.

Arena outdoor rink - staff will be working after Christmas to install ice. However, until contractors can install mesh on the north/south end boards, no hockey pucks will be permitted on this ice surface. Please read posted notices on the ice rink and follow the regulations. Vehicle and pedestrian safety is a concern.

Finally, it is asked that all snowmobilers respect regulations and not enter onto any Town parkland with their machines. Citizens are asked to report any infractions directly to the RCMP.
