The Holiday season brings greater opportunity for recycling.
Niverville Council, wishing to encourage residents to recycle responsibly, are making available a large recycling bin for surplus materials such as cardboard. It will be located at the Niverville Centennial Arena from Saturday, December 23rd until Thursday, December 28th.
Please. Recycle and do so resonsibly!
The following list outlines which materials are acceptable:
Aluminium beverage cans and tin cans - rinse, remove labels and flatten if possible
Paper - newspapers, flyers, books, magazines, office paper, phone books, wrapping paper
Cardboard - please flatten boxes
Milk cartons - please empty, rinse & flatten
Tetra-pak juice boxes - please empty, rinse & flatten
Plastics - please remove all caps and rinse containers
The following list are items that must be placed in the waste collection stream:
Garbage, styrofoam, paper plates & napkins, plastics #3 & #6, plastic bags, motor oil containers or any containers that carry this symbol.
Failure to comply will lead to Town enforcement of regulations.
