The Town of Niverville Operations Department is seeking a skilled laborer to join the team.
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for a variety of semi-skilled manual labor tasks in the maintenance and repair of public amenities, operation of various pieces of equipment, and seasonal duties at the winter recreation facilities. The seasonal duties will involve shift work and working weekends.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
-Experience in basic operation and maintenance of equipment
-Minimum grade 12 education
-Prepared to work either independently or as part of a team
-Valid Manitoba Class 3 driver's license with Air Brake endorsement (preferred)
-Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and exert 100 pounds of force occasionally
-Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, pull and grasp
-Ability to read and communicate in the English language
-Ability to work in extreme conditions (cold/heat/noise)
Conditions of Employment:
-Completes and maintains a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check
The Town offers an excellent remuneration and benefits package commensurate with qualifications and experience. Preference will be given to applicants who live in Niverville.
