Burn Ban

April 25, 2019

The Town of Niverville and Niverville Fire & Emergency Services would like to remind residents that our neighboring Rural Municipalities have started to implement burn bans in areas just outside of Niverville. Niverville currently does not have a burn ban.

Should one become necessary, it will be advertised via the Town’s website (www.whereyoubelong.ca) and affiliated social media accounts.

Fires are permitted in approved fire pits and only clean dry wood should be burned. Please note that yard waste may not be burned in a fire pit or on your property. Yard waste may be brought to Bristal Hauling or the compost depot behind the Curling Rink (note only grass clippings and leaves permitted in compost area). Check weather conditions regarding wind before lighting any fire and don’t leave a fire unattended.

For more information on open air fires please refer to Fire Bylaw 650-07 on the Town’s website.
