2020 Summer Employment Opportunity

The Town of Niverville is now accepting applications for Summer Camp Leaders to work during the months of July and August. These positions require split shift flexibility; hours will be Monday to Friday with varied shifts for an estimated 25-40 hours per week. Reporting to the Recreation Programmer, the successful applicants will be required to:

-        Provide a fun, positive environment for all children;

-        Be responsible for the safety and well-being of each child;

-        Supervise and provide leadership for children participating in the program;

-        Work cooperatively with other staff;

-        Communicate with parents and/or guardians where appropriate/as required; and

-        Administrative and other duties as assigned.

Conditions of employment include the following:

-        Satisfactory Child Abuse Registry check;

-        At least 16 years of age; and

-        Valid social insurance number.

This position requires personal confidence, patience, strong communication and organizational skills. Ideal candidates will have experience working with ages 3-15 within a recreational setting. Preference will be given to Niverville residents and those holding a valid Class 5 Manitoba Drivers licence.

Summer Employment Opportunity

The Town of Niverville is pleased to announce its 2020 Summer Recruitment Initiative for Summer Employment. We are seeking to fill seasonal positions of Grounds Maintenance Workers. These positions start around May 1st until August 31st. Some of the duties will include soccer pitch and baseball diamond maintenance, pocket park maintenance, painting, beautification and equipment operation.

This job opportunity is open to youth between the ages of 16-29, living in Manitoba, legally entitled to work in Canada (must have a valid S.I.N.), hold a valid Manitoba driver’s license and have their own cell phone. A satisfactory Child Abuse Registry check is a condition of employment. The Town is offering an hourly rate above the Provincial minimum wage to start, based on experience. The successful applicants will be required to work outside and be available to work flexible hours with weekend availability.

Term of employment is from May 5, 2020 – August 21, 2020.
Salary $12.77/hour, 36.25 hours per week.
