The Town of Niverville will be opening a cooling center at the Niverville Community Resource & Recreation Centre (CRRC), as the community deals with a heat wave over the coming days. This cooling center will be open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, on July 11th and 12th, 2024. Available at this cooling center will be air conditioning, shade, water bottle fill stations, and free Wi-Fi, along with colouring pages for children and accessible seating for seniors.
“During this heat wave, the Town of Niverville is taking proactive steps to keep our community healthy,” said Mayor Myron Dyck of the Town of Niverville. “The health of our residents is a priority for the Town, and this cooling center is just one way that we can continue to look after it. We hope that members of the community who need a space to cool off will take full advantage of this cooling center.”
Please be aware that the CRRC is currently busy with Niverville Recreation & Wellness summer camps. For future updates on this community cooling center, please follow the Town of Niverville on social media or at www.whereyoubelong.ca.
