Public notice is hereby given that the 2021 Assessment Roll for the Town of Niverville has been delivered to the Town Office at 329 Bronstone Drive and is open for public inspection during current office hours. Applications for revision may be made in accordance with sections 42 and 43 of The Assessment Act.

42(1) A person in whose name property has been assessed, a mortgagee in possession of property under section 114(1) of The Real Property Act, an occupier of premises who is required under the terms of a lease to pay the taxes on the property, or the assessor may make application for the revision of an assessment roll with respect to:
a) liability for taxes;
b) amount of assessed value;
c) classification of property; or
d) a refusal by an assessor to amend the assessment roll under subsection 13(2).

43(1) An application for revision must
a) be made in writing;
b) set out the roll number and legal description of the assessable property for which a revision is sought;
c) state the grounds on which the application is based; and
d) be filed by
(i) delivering it or causing it to be delivered to the Town Office indicated in the public notice given under section 41(2), or
(ii) serving it upon the Secretary, at least 15 days before the scheduled sitting date of the board as indicated in the public notice.

The Board of Revision will sit on October 20th, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. to hear applications. Location to be confirmed at a later date.

The final date on which applications must be received by the Secretary of the Board is October 5, 2020 by 5pm. Applications can be either mailed to the address noted below or delivered to the Town Office at 329 Bronstone Drive, Niverville. Please ensure application(s) is (are) submitted in accordance with Section 43(1) noted above.

Additions to the Voters List and/or Personal Security Protection Requests

In accordance with Section 36 of The Municipal Councils and School Board Elections Act (MCSBEA), the Town of Niverville Voters List is open for changes or revisions.

· Any person who is eligible to vote in municipal elections in the Local Authority of the Town of Niverville can have his or her name added to the Voters List, or have any information about the voter in the Voters List corrected.

· Any person can request to have his or her name and address obscured from the Voters List.

A person whose name has been obscured will receive a Personal Security Certificate and identification number. In a vote on a question, that person may only vote by Sealed Envelope Ballot and cannot vote in person at the regular or advance voting places.

To implement the above, a written request including name and address along with proof of identity must be submitted to the Senior Election Official in person, by e-mail, fax or mail to:

In accordance with Section 194 of The Municipal Act the 2019 Audited Financial Statement of the Town of Niverville is now available for inspection. It can be viewed online here, or in person at the Town Administration Office, 329 Bronstone Drive, Niverville during current business hours.


Should an emergency ever happen in the Town of Niverville, volunteers will be needed to help with the response and recovery.
