Road Closure on Church Avenue Starting October 2nd, 2024

web@dminUncategorized

The Town of Niverville would like to inform residents of an upcoming closure to Church Avenue, which will temporarily restrict access to a section of this street. This closure will be starting as early as the morning of October 2nd, 2024 and last for approximately a week for base reconstruction, depending on the weather. Please see the map below for a visual of where this closure will be.

A map of the 2024 road repair closures affecting Church Avenue.

This closure is taking place so that the reconstruction of this section can be completed as safely and efficiently as possible. You can expect this construction to involve a complete street rebuild including a new gravel base and new asphalt. The street will be closed until the gravel base structure is built up, at which point it will be reopened for local traffic only. Once all other project sites are prepared for paving there will be another street closure of a week or less to allow paving to take place, which the Town will communicate in advance of as well. Please be aware that the timeline written above is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

For affected residents, please ensure that your waste collection bins are placed as normal at the end of your driveway, as our contractor will be responsible for moving bins to and from a collection location for pick-up. Also, please ensure your bins are clearly labelled with your physical address so that our contractor can replace your bins at the end of your driveway quickly and efficiently.

If you have any mobility or accessibility concerns, please contact the Town of Niverville by email at feedback@whereyoubelong.ca or by phone at 204-388-4600.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as the Town of Niverville works to provide its residents with safer streets.
